We love what we do!
We give kids, everywhere, the opportunity to star in their own story! It’s been a true blessing to know that in a little way, we’ve enhanced your children’s libraries with picture books starring themselves as the main characters! Our goal has always been to help every child discover the superhero inside. If we’ve […]

Our Summer Camps ended this week on such an emotional high!
Each child got to create their very own superhero poster, with themselves as the superhero. On the last day, they got to see the finished product – they LOOOOVED THEM!
(Many thanks to TrentnCheryl Stanley for some really lovely lettering work!)
Behind their posters, each child got two personalized […]
Shots from our soon-to-be released picture book – The Very, Very, Very Misunderstood Dinosaur. (Launch date – Moved to Friday, Sept 15).
Tex is the last Dinosaur alive! This is a story about how Tex struggled to fit in with all the other animals.

The theme of our Summer Camps this week is – The Best Person I Can Be is ME (Learning to love what makes you unique, different, and special).

This hurt my daughter very much for two reasons. First, Zara was the only kid of color in the entire daycare and she’d just began to realize […]
The theme of our Summer Camps this week is – I Can Achieve Anything (Envisioning your future goals & committing to achieving them).
They kids enjoyed an interactive story telling session (we read “Zara Grows Up”, our Birthday themed adventure book). They discussed their career ambitions and also shared what they feared most about growing up.
This week, the theme of our summer camps is BRAVERY. The kids enjoyed an interactive story time session, fun team building activities, and a chance to create their very own superhero masks. There really is something about creating your own superhero costume that makes you feel…INVINCIBLE.
Our literacy & self-empowerment camp, titled “I Am Me”, celebrates […]
At an early age, a child forms their self-identity/worth by what they see, read, and hear. With all the mess in the internet, social media, movies, magazines, and virtually everywhere you go, it is small wonder that many kids are growing up with very low self-esteem.
MeBookz is determined to make a difference!
This is why we […]
The past couple of week, one of our authors and our founder (Paul Okoye) hosted book reading events at a number of schools. These are his stories:
Palmerston Middle School
I really enjoyed my time at this school. There’s just something about hosting a book reading at your daughter’s school that makes the world OK again!
