The theme of our Summer Camps this week is – I Can Achieve Anything (Envisioning your future goals & committing to achieving them).

They kids enjoyed an interactive story telling session (we read “Zara Grows Up”, our Birthday themed adventure book). They discussed their career ambitions and also shared what they feared most about growing up.

So proud of all the kids! It’s really amazing that at 5yrs – 9yrs old, these kids are all super-ambitious about their career goals (pilots, astronauts, teachers, tons of doctors, vets, a lot of soccer players, and one that just wants to be an adult). Then we discussed their greatest fears about growing up. Some said paying bills, others thought taking care of kids would be difficult, yet others feared going to university and working long hours. A few feared changing poo-filled diapers too!

They also started work on their personalized superhero posters, which is our major project. At the end of the 4-week camp, each kid would have created their very own superhero poster featuring them as the superhero!.

Basically, we provided a platform for the kids to enjoy the magic of self-confidence. They walked away with a deeper belief in themselves and a desire to create the worlds they dream about.

As Johann Wolfgang von Goethe would say: “Magic is believing in yourself, if you can do that, you can make anything happen.”.
